based at our training centre in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, we aim to provide a comfortable and safe environment in which to learn. Easily accessible from all directions and just off J16 of the M6 our training centre does just that.
Safe Working at Heights is a 1 -day course offering the following:-
Course Aim
To ensure delgates have the knowledge to assess the place of work together with the work to be done and implement appropriate workplace precautions. they will understand the differences between preventitive, protective, collective and personal control measures from guardrails and nets to restaint and fall arrest equipment. We couple all this with the necessary emergency arrangements that must be in place.

- Use of harnesses
- Climbing and use of lanyards
- Ladder types and identification
- Correct handling and storage procedures of ladders
- Practical inspection and identification of ladder faults
- Safe systems of work
- BSEN standards
- Fragile materials
- Safety nets
- Emergency arrangements
Upon completion of the theory and practical instruction, there will be a written examination by the instructor to assess the level of competancy and understanding of the delegates. if the delegates reach the required level then certifictes will be awarded accordingly. These will be sent to the delegates' employers for their service record and are valid for 3 years.
